Our personal safety alarm service is simple to use, easy to install and will work anywhere around your home. You will be safe in the hands of the TeleCare24 caring team who are ready to respond to any emergency.
Our personal safety alarm has two main parts to it, a pendant alarm which can be worn around the neck, on your wrist or even clipped to a pocket and a base unit which connects to your standard telephone line socket. When you press your pendant or wristband you are immediately connected to our TeleCare24 monitoring team who will be able to speak to you and respond to your situation.
Once you have selected and paid for the service, Telecare24 will send you a customer pack to complete and send back so that your Careline equipment can be sent out to you.
Installation
You can decide whether to install the package yourself, or request a Telecare24 engineer to visit your home and install and demonstrate the alarm for you.
Our local engineer will arrange to visit your home at a time to suit you during the day. We offer installation to all 23 million homes in the UK. All our engineers are CRB checked and will carry an ID card with them. Our engineer will set up and connect your pendant alarm and base station and will provide a full demonstration. They will be able to answer any queries you may have about the service and ensure the service is fully operational before they leave. Your family and friends are welcome to ask any questions about the service whilst the engineer is at your home.
A few things to remember:
- Please make sure you have a telephone socket and an available mains power socket within 10 feet of each other on the same wall.
- If you have Broadband please inform the engineer when he visits your home as we need to ensure the Telecare Unit is connected correctly.
Supra Keysafe
The main reason to order a Supra Keysafe is to ensure that in the event of an Emergency, authorised personnel can gain access to your home ensuring you can be taken care of as quickly as possible.
The Supra C500 Keysafe is the only Police Approved Keysafe in the UK and offers you the ultimate in protection with its LPS1175 level 1 accreditation, equal to a front door of the same standard. The C500 KeySafe™ is made of heavy gauge stainless steel and a thick zinc-alloy shell. It has a double wall construction. A stainless plate around the buttons adds additional security and is scratch and fingerprint resistant. The heavy duty locking mechanism uses a long-travel bolt, making it extremely pry-resistant. A clutch mechanism prevents the handle from being forced open. If the C500 is locked and the handle is turned with force, the handle slips and turns easily without opening. Just turn the handle back to the closed position until it clicks to re-latch the handle. If you select a keysafe this will be installed at the same time as your alarm.

When you press your pendant or wristband you are immediately connected to our TeleCare24 monitoring team who will be able to speak to you and respond to your situation.We send the alarm to you ready to simply plug in and use. There is no special wiring needed just your telephone line and a power socket nearby. Should you prefer, you can elect for a trained engineer to come to your home and install your personal alarm and demonstrate to you for a small one-off fee. Your personal alarm pendant has batteries which will last for a number of years and has an excellent reputation for reliability. If for any reason a fault should develop we will replace the unit free of charge within 24 hours.
